From Dry Desert to Lush Tropics

The last couple of days have been transfer days, so nothing to report. (We also didn't have internet for one night.)

Flew from Ayers Rock to Cairns. A difficult flight for me, considering I've had the flu. But we made it and spent one night in Cairns. Then yesterday afternoon, caught a Fast Cat ferry to Fitzroy Island. Just what I needed.

Today we snorkelled on Nudey Beach. No, it's NOT what you think. Didn't see much but the water was nice. Had a tour of the turtle rehab centre, followed by more snorkelling.

Nudey Beach:

One of the turtles in rehab:

Two Queensland babes...I always wanted a onesy!

Still stinger season, therefore everyone gets to wear this lovely fashion. If you're wondering what a stinger is, it's the tentacles from several types of jellyfish that when stung can cause irritations to severe reactions.

Love your wardrobe...so glad you're feeling a little better. Nudey Beach looks wonderful, however I think on saw more flesh on the Cowichan River on Sunday...ha!
