Exploring Kata Tjuta

The morning came early! We went off to see the sunrise at Kata Tjuta. Following that we went on a short hike. It started with about 1.6 km, fairly easy. At the first lookout our group of 11 guests and two guides split into 2 groups. One carried on to the next lookout, while the other group moved to Walpa Gorge - the lighter option. Because I now have a bad flu bug I chose the lighter. Glad we did. Those that took the other route got way too much sun. It was also vey busy.
In the evening we went to the Sounds of Silence dinner, which had a very big crowd. Picture tables scattered around in the red sand, covered in white linen, as we watched sunset, then ate from an elaborate buffet.
